Japan Motors Presents Nissan Navara as Official Pace Car for 2025 Absa Black Star Marathon

In a gesture that underscores its commitment to sports development and community wellness, Japan Motors has officially presented a Nissan Navara to the organizers of the Absa Black Star Marathon. The vehicle will serve as the official pace car for the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the marathon.

The presentation took place on Friday June 20, 2025 at the Japan Motors showroom, with representatives from Japan Motors and the marathon’s organizing team in attendance.

Speaking at a brief handing-over ceremony, Salah Kwaku Kalmoni, Director of Japan Motors noted, ‘for us, we are very happy to support the Absa Black Star Marathon for two years running.’

On behalf of the organizing committee, Cyril Nai, Head, External Communications and Sponsorships at ABSA Ghana, expressed deep appreciation for the support, noting that the Nissan Navara is not only a functional addition but a symbol of the strong partnerships that continue to elevate the status of the Absa Black Star Marathon.
‘We at ABSA have committed to supporting the prestigious marathon for the next five years, and we are hoping that together with Japan Motors, we can make this another successful marathon,’ Mr. Nai added.
