Welcome to the Absa Black Star Marathon Training Program. Developed by Runathon Global Technical Team (RGTT), these plans will help guide you to success. These 16-week training plans are specifically geared towards preparing runners for our events.

There are three separate training plans for runners with different abilities – beginners, intermediate and elite athletes.

How To Use The Marathon Pace Chart

If you have a target marathon finishing time, check the last column and find your target time.

Then check the corresponding pace – this is the average pace you have to run throughout your marathon.
